Welcome to Why We Homeschool. These Terms of Service govern your use of whywehomeschool.net and your purchase of any product or subscription from us, including the Monthly Message and Support Why We Homeschool. By using this site or placing an order, you're agreeing to these terms.

Who we are

Why We Homeschool is a small, family-run operation based in Ohio. When you contact us, you're talking to Jesse and Savanna directly — not a call center, not a bot.

What we sell

The Why We Homeschool Monthly Message is a print subscription billed monthly, delivered by physical mail to the address you provide at checkout. Support Why We Homeschool is a one-time or recurring gift that helps fund the mailer and isn't a purchase of goods or services in the traditional sense — see our Refund Policy for how that's handled.

Billing and subscriptions

Your subscription renews automatically each month at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account or by emailing us at hello@whywehomeschool.net, and cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you won't be billed again after that, and you'll still receive any issue you've already paid for.

Shipping

We mail each issue to the address on file at the time of printing. It's your responsibility to keep your shipping address current; we're not able to reprint or reship an issue that goes to an old address because it wasn't updated in time. If an issue is lost or arrives damaged, reach out within 30 days of your billing date and we'll make it right.

Acceptable use

This site and its content are for your personal, non-commercial use. Please don't reproduce, resell, or redistribute our mailer content, blog posts, or free guides without our written permission — this is a small operation, and content like our research pieces and debate postcards is the product families are subscribing to receive.

Content and opinions

Why We Homeschool is an openly Christian, pro-homeschooling publication. Our content reflects our convictions, including our belief that homeschooling is a biblical calling described in Deuteronomy 6. We're not a neutral, "one option among many" resource, and our content should be read with that in mind.

Limitation of liability

We work hard to make sure everything we publish — research, legal guides, debate points — is accurate and well-sourced, but we're a family, not a law firm or a licensed educational authority. Our free state-by-state legal guide and any content referencing homeschool law is provided for general informational purposes only and isn't a substitute for checking your own state's current requirements or consulting an attorney. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Why We Homeschool isn't liable for decisions made based on our content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We'll post the revised version here with an updated date. Continuing to use the site or your subscription after a change means you accept the updated terms.
